Lockdown Love #15

This week's comic focuses on that twilight moment between when the Lockdown first began and we had all gotten so used to being on our phones and not really communicating... and the time when we actually realized we need to take the effort and reach out to talk to other people.

Was your throat sore the first time?

Fly like an eagle

Mrs. Ninja makes elaborate plans (party or no party) when Mr. Ninja travels. But it would appear it doesn't work the same way when it's the other way round.

Lockdown Love #14

The week is a Lockdown Love comic which highlights that Mrs. and Mr. Ninja basically need to go a little bit more than the extra mile to make sure they find common ground when it comes to spending time together.

Hairy Tales

Mrs. Ninja has always liked to experiment with her hair - both colour and cut-wise. This week's comic strip is just a fun way of investigating the reasons behind it.

P.S. Mrs. Ninja does whatever she wants with her hair anyway ;) See below!

Earthy Drama

This may or may not have across in any of the comic strips so far in all these years but Mrs. Ninja is a bit of a stickler when it comes to doing her little bit when it comes to saving the planet.

Safe to say, littering is a bit of a trigger.

Twinning and how

Remember that book 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus'?

Yeah Mrs. Ninja hasn't read it but sometimes she feels it.

Lockdown Love #13

Brought some Lockdown Love back!
Ever had to rethink your regular activities thanks to COVID-19?

Yes, to everything.

Where's the foood?

Sometimes Mrs. Ninja wonders, when she says she has made crispy lettuce tossed with slivers of roast chicken and croutons in an olive oil dressing topped with Gouda and walnut shavings, if Mr. Ninja only hears: food.

Why Why noodle

"I was curious. But since I'm not a cat, that's not dangerous." - House, MD

Sometimes Mrs. Ninja feels like her conversations with Mr. Ninja turn into a Backstreet Boys song.

"TELL ME WHY?" <insert random question here>
"TELL ME WHY?" <insert another random question here>
"TELL ME WHY?"

Are you still singing? Just read today's comic.

Could you BE anymore specific?

With the end of the #LockdownLove series we now get back to our featured presentation. This week we talk about how Communication is Key in any relationship.

Or is it Communication IS key?

Communication is KEY?

Never mind, just check out this week's comic.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 12

Little by little, the city has begun to open up and start it's journey towards this 'new normal' and I think this is good time for the #LockdownLove series to come to an end. I want to thank everyone who's laughed with me and found my stories relatable in some way or the other. Most importantly I hope you got a few laughs which are so important during this gloomy time.

My regular comics are going to be front and center now but if I feel like I have a #LockdownLove story to share, you'll see it!

Cheers, enjoy the series finale :)

#LockdownLove Series - Week 11

Being in lockdown has been a huge learning experience for Mrs. Ninja, even if most of the knowledge came from the internet :P

#LockdownLove Series - Week 10

Phew! Ten weeks since all this lockdown business began. Now that some places are starting to relax I've been wondering what it will be like to finally see your friends and family again? Well, apart from FaceTime.

This week's comic talks about the odd feeling of having gone the longest time without seeing anyone besides the people in your own house.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 9

Let's face it, one of the biggest things that we had to get used to with the Lockdown at first was the change of routine. Or rather, creating a new routine to replace the original one that we probably painstakingly developed for ourselves for maximum efficiency and got comfortable with over time. I suppose it was particularly hard for those of us who needed the routine in our lives to push forward.

Mrs. & Mr. Ninja are trying hard to maintain the semblance of routine in the absence of opportunities for 'change of scenery', so to speak. Tiny little things in your previous routine that can be maintained make all the difference in breaking the monotony that could otherwise seep in.

This week's comic is a light example of just that.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 8

This week we take a look at how much deeper Mrs. Ninja's decisions in life have gotten with the lockdown.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 7

Things seem to be getting pretty bad in some places and marginally better in others in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic. The important thing to remember is that social distancing doesn't mean social isolation - we all have to help each other out how we can.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Ninja tries to focus on the silver linings that have come out of this dark time.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 6

Everybody seems to be trying to find out new more creative ways to stay active and fit during this extended lockdown.

Meanwhile Mrs. Ninja's work out mainly consists of standing in the kitchen, sitting at the computer and lifting her eyebrows at Mr. Ninja's shenanigans.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 5

I've never been more grateful than now that I even have access to food and that it's possible for me to have three meals a day when I know that people out there are struggling during this time.

But even Mrs. Ninja has to admit there is only so far you can go before getting bored of your own cooking. That's why we all have to get creative and keep things interesting and nutritious!

#LockdownLove Series - Week 4

I think it's safe to say that this whole Lockdown situation has brought our attention to the amount of effort and time that goes into prepping for meals on a daily basis. Mrs. Ninja is going through pretty much the same thing.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 3

This week's post is essentially an appreciation post for all the medical staff, security personnel and food industry people who are braving it out there during this strange time to make everyone else's life more easier.

Think about that the next time you feel frustrated at home, you'll feel better.

That said, show appreciation and be grateful for the loved ones around you as well!

#LockdownLove Series - Week 2

Ever since the world started to go on Lockdown, there's been an increase in the usage of video chat apps. Some, like 'Houseparty' have existed for a while but suddenly gained a following what with people not being able to actually meet each other to plays games and what not.

This week we see Mrs. Ninja's first reaction to downloading the app.

It's a great app..just edit your Notifications setting. Oh, and maybe not add someone named Mr.X.

#LockdownLove Series - Week 1

The Corona  virus is no laughing matter but as comic artists, spreading smiles is the least we can do during this strange time. Presenting a special mini-series about the adventures or Mrs. & Mr. Ninja called #LockdownLove that will run all this month on #BMNThursdays . Scheduled BMN comics will continue as usual from next month. Stay Safe!

And we begin the series with something that's more than roughly based on a true story like most of my comics are. This is based on FACTS.

Until next week!

Season 5!

Can you believe it...I'm super excited to start yet another comic season of Being Mrs. Ninja with all new stories and adventures.

It's a crazy time in the world out there...everyone's on lockdown and things have come to a standstill while there are many amazing people braving it out there to help those who need it and providing essential services. The rest of us are extremely grateful!

Meanwhile, the least we can do to help the situation is to practice social distancing and of course up your hand-washing rituals to the next level. Sanitize!

I'm hoping that in these scary times I can provide some sort of comic relief if not anything else. The motto for this season is: Spread Smiles, not Disease!

So without further ado, here's a simple start to the new season. Enjoy!

Here goes!
