So Punny

Let me start by saying that Mr. Ninja is a very intelligent man. His mind works fast, much faster than mine probably ever will.

But as Henry Allen said on 'The Flash', "Sometimes you just have to slow down to get back to where you want to be." Because you go too fast you'll trip and fall on your face. And no, that wasn't part of the original quote, that's just me. And this applies not just to actions, but words too.

My point is, there are times when Mr. Ninja makes statements that make me go wha-? And this aspect is my comic exhibit for the week.

But then again, I feel like I cover this aspect every week! XD

One way or Another

I think everyone's got their things they are good at, things they are okay at and things they don't even want to bother trying because they are pretty sure they will suck at. I don't imagine anyone can be good at everything.

Sometimes I wonder if there really is such a thing as an all rounder - I think the definition would be better as Jack of all Trades and Master of None (although I'm sure there are exceptions).

And then this leads to that moment where you are being complimented on something..or are you?

A joke is a joke is a joke

As a kid when I watched or read something new, I would find myself associating with it in some way or another - like the time I truly believed I was exactly like the Yellow Ranger (OMG both our names start with T too!) while watching Power Rangers on TV with friends. Pardon the reference, I just watched the new Power Rangers movie last night and it was nostalgizz as heck.

Is it just me or does this still happen sometimes? It could be when watching a TV Show, listening to a song, reading a magazine/newspaper..

It's Gettin' Hot in Here

Finally its the Thursday we have all been waiting for! Well, at least I have..been planning a comeback since last year and finally decided this break has been going on for far too long. So yes, I finally decided to bring out Season 2 of Being Mrs. Ninja.

I know I didn't really do much in terms of promos (except for that little Teaser I put out in December?) but I hope that the ones who used to follow the blog will come back to it and I hope to see more people joining my comic parade so I can spread more smiles around :) And to those who've been encouraging me to get back to it - a big Thank you for constantly reminding me how much I love doing this!

Let's get right to it then. First thing I want to ask: Is it just me, or has everyone else in Mumbai started to sweat like crazy over the past few days?? It. Is. So. Hot.

Season 2!

Yes, you read right. I'm finally bringing Being Mrs. Ninja back to your screens early next year. I was going to follow it up with a 'Bigger, bolder, better' but later decided against it for reasons better left undisclosed. LOL.

I for one am really excited to get back into my weekly routine of bringing something fun for everyone to read and enjoy. The truth is, I really missed it! I honestly enjoy doing this (I've always told people that if I wasn't doing what I was doing now, I would be a full-time cartoonist) and I'm finally sorting things out to make some time.

You're probably thinking it's been over a year - did it really take that long to sort things out? Well yeah, sometimes life comes in the way. Meanwhile I've been working on my software and design skills & techniques, some of which I'll applying this new season - hope you all like it! I'm also hoping this will help me stick to my weekly routine without too much stress.

I just want to thank some special people (you know who you are) for persistently telling me I should get back to it, that they really enjoy it (this means a lot to me), that they would look forward to Thursdays, that they are big fans (wow!) and other encouraging words. Thank you. Season 2 is dedicated to all of you.

Cheers! We shall meet next year! Happy 2017 everyone :)

Oh, Brother

I think having siblings is an important thing and highly underrated. Even if you don't have a brother/sister, I'm sure everyone has someone who fits that role in their life. It could be anyone - a close childhood friend, a confidante.

After the birthday special for Mr. Ninja that last time, it was followed by my brother's birthday the following week so I thought I should dedicate this post to introducing him.

Who else can I talk to when I'm annoyed about something my husband did without any judgement because he knows that everything I say is out of love? Who else can I talk to about something in our shared childhood that has suddenly come back in the news? Who else can I share an incredible laugh with about something that only the two of us understand because of an insider sibling back story?

Well, the comic strip for the week will set an example for better understanding.

Birthday Blues

I know it's been a while..but I had to get back! And no, it's not because I ran out of things to draw (yeah, right!) But stuff happens..whether it's a change in routine, exams, not getting admission in a place you wanted to study or missing your best friend's wedding.

So down to business - this week was Mr. Ninja's birthday week. It never ceases to amuse me how less he gives a damn about his birthday. I don't even bother with surprises anymore - but there will always be my home-made cake. Always.

I guess it's all about perspective. When I told Mr. Ninja to enjoy his birthday he asked me why there should be a reason to celebrate being closer to death (err...sombre, much?). I told him he should be celebrating having lived another eventful year in life. And maybe call his mom because this was the day she popped him out (funny how we forget in the midst of all that cake, that our moms were the ones who went through stuff on our birthdays).

Anyway, another key element of birthdays is age. And the best part is, that is flexible too - depending on your perspective. So this is what we will deal with this week.
