Honestly, Mr. Ninja doesn't travel all that much for work. He tends to make numerous tiny tiny trips - even some where he flies out in the morning and is back home in the evening.. which is what probably increases the odds of her response being 'he's traveling' when Mrs. Ninja's friends ask what he is up to.

This week we talk about that one time when Mrs. Ninja's friend made an interesting observational joke about it.

Quirks of Mr. Ninja's Wallflower

Everyone's got their quirks and what not. Based on the adventures of Mrs. & Mr. Ninja, it would seem that marriage is all about embracing those the most interesting way possible!

Say what?

Do you ever go through a lengthy debate with someone over an extended period of time only to realise at the conclusion that both you and the other party were saying the same thing all that while?

This week's comic is about Mrs. & Mr. Ninja going through something along those lines - back when movie tickets were only in the form of text messages, not QR codes.

It's Black! It's Pink! (Yeah yeah yeah)

This week's comic doesn't really have much to do with the adventures of Mrs. & Mr. Ninja as such. It's more of a comic reaction to an innocent observation that came as a response to something Mr. Ninja was wearing at a party.

P.S. I like black and pink as a combination ;)

Raksha Bandhan

Mrs. Ninja and her brother didn't really know much of the concept of Raksha Bandhan, the festival celebrating brother-sister love, having grown up outside of India. It was more of something they read in text books.

This background led to funny stories where they earnestly try to celebrate it in their own way after moving to India.

We're Going To Eat Pizza

Mrs. Ninja loves to try making all kinds of things to eat - primarily because she loves to eat all those things herself. And by a stroke of luck (or not really, in his case) Mr. Ninja happens to be in a position (much in demand, I hear) of being first in line as guinea pig for aforementioned things to eat.

However since Mr. Ninja isn't someone who would ever be close to associated with the term 'foodie', Mrs. Ninja sometimes has to go that extra mile to extract a "yummy" out of him (she needs 'em 'Love Kernels'!).

This week's comic strip is an example of just that.

Workaholics (non)Anonymous

I think by now everyone knows about how passionate Mr. Ninja is about his work and how work talk feels like he's speaking another language. This week we have another conversation between Mrs. & Mr. Ninja where words (or in this case, acronyms) are lost in translation.

Professor X-whatever

Apologies for the late late post (although it may still be Thursday for some of my readers) but sometimes there just isn't enough time to get everything done. Maybe if I did this full-time? :P

This week we talk about how Mrs. Ninja's conversations with Mr. Ninja about hypothetical situations tend to go on a different tangent altogether.

Drive it like it's Hot

If there's one big thing that Mrs. Ninja has always been averse to, it's driving - that doesn't mean she won't try! This week's comic strip shows the range of attempts she has made in order to get behind the wheel.

This week we explore a moment where Mr. Ninja stretches his comic muscles a bit. Just a little bit.

Spoiler, Alert

This week we talk about Mr. Ninja's tendency to get so excited about describing movies he watches, he doesn't realise the difference between spoilers and non-spoilers.

New phone, who dis?

This week's comic strip talks about one of the many funny experiences before actually becoming Mrs. Ninja.

Fun fact: both Mr & Mrs. Ninja aren't fans of talking on the phone.

Bird Travelogues

There are these times now and then when Mr. Ninja seems to be traveling every other day for work. That being said, Mrs. Ninja loves to get creative when it comes to describing him and his travelogues.

My Bro Code

There's something special about sibling relationships that just can't be defined with something as straightforward as words. When Mrs. Ninja's little brother is in town, happiness comes in different forms ranging from conversations that go on for hours to home-made meals.

And that is what this week's comic is about.

Fitness Freak

This week's post makes me sit like a Philosoraptor and think - between Mr. Ninja who may or may not eat ice-cream everyday & doesn't put on weight and Mrs. Ninja who may or may not have ice-cream once in 2-3 months and puts on weight, who is more fit?

Learning Curve

One of the most fascinating characteristics about Mr. Ninja is his curiosity and the way he asks questions about generally established things which no one has ever asked Mrs. Ninja before.

He's the guy who will watch a Harry Potter movie and ask:

"How do the Weasley twins have enough capital to start a joke shop in the best location?"
"If doing underage magic outside Hogwarts is such a big deal, how comes he's using a 'Lumos' spell to do homework at the Dursleys' in Prisoner of Azkaban?"

You get the drift. Or you don't, if you have no idea what I'm talking about.
I'll leave it to the comic strip to get the point across.

Phony Talk

Mr. Ninja travels quite a bit for work but this week's post reinforces that this doesn't change anything when it comes to his phone conversations with Mrs. Ninja.

Love Connection

The thing you must know about Mrs. Ninja is that she has this tendency to celebrate the 'little things'..even when there's nothing really going on!

This week we see an example of how something innocent that Mr. Ninja does turns into a "love connection" :P

Excess Baggage

Mrs. Ninja likes to travel light. However, in the final installment of the Euro-Trip trilogy we find out that when Mrs. Ninja does have a few extra bags, Murphy's Law ensures that there's a bunch of staircases that comes across her path.

It's Love, da

This Valentine's Day we continue on the Euro-trip trilogy with Part 2 of the adventure. This week you get to see Mrs. Ninja on travel-mode, trying to getting Mr. Ninja's attention.

BMN 100 & The New Season

Hello there!

I know I haven't been putting up my regular blog posts up here like I used to, but those who have been following me on social media will know that I have been posting my comic strips irrespective of that! And to make up for that, this entry is going to be like a Newsletter keeping everyone up to date!

BMN 100

It feels surreal knowing that I had created (literally) a hundred of these comics..and still have many more stories to tell! And I want to thank all of those who stuck with me throughout my different phases and my experiments with art techniques. I hope to keep surprising everyone as I aim for another 100 comics!

As you can tell I introduced a new format with Comic #100 and this was the start of the new season.

Season 4

Based on the pre-season hype I built for Season 3, one might be wondering 'When did Season 4 even happen?' and I get it, I'm sure it felt like it sneaked in along with the #100 post.

The truth is, I was working on making the comic more easily accessible to my readers across all social media (more funnies, more smiles). I had to make sure it can work across different media and that it's an easy format to stick to so that there are fewer missed weeks - that latter point being quite important as I don't do this full time and work can sometimes get crazy. That's me Being Mrs. Realistic LOL

I hope the new format doesn't scare you guys away and that y'all will stick around as I continue my journey to figure out new ways to get more smiles into your day. So let's catch up in case you missed the latest comics!

BMN 101

This year's birthday post was mostly about how in a marriage, gifts and gifting processes get a little skewed along the way.

This comic is Part 1 of a trilogy of adventures during a trip to Europe. Some things never change.
