Everybody Loves Freebies

It's not my birthday today. Nor is it my birthday for a long time. But I was reminded of this story the other day when I was trying to figure out some gifting solutions for a birthday party I had to attend.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Ninja's most stressful chore is getting a gift for Mrs. Ninja on her birthday. In fact, he solves this problem but outright asking what the desired gift is for the birthday that year (it takes all the fun out of gift-getting but is definitely more practical).

This week's comic strip shows he doesn't take ALL the fun out of it ;)

Beet Emotions

Mr. Ninja is always about finding the (quickest) solution to a problem while Mrs. Ninja's process is as much about the journey as the destination. Which is also probably why she takes longer to get certain things done, though rest assured they will get done...you know, eventually.

This week we throw it back to when Mr. Ninja could be convinced to partake in the "journey" bit of the process and then snap back to present day reality.

P.S. This week's comic strip is Supernatural-themed (#SorryNotSorry) because the show's been renewed for a 14th season & I'm like whaaat!

New Season, New Hair

If anyone was following my reminders about Season 3's premiere today, I know I'm probably sharing this much later in the day than was imagined. Hey, I don't do this full time, so things like this are bound to happen.

Anyway, as we go further into the season I'm gonna try new experiments on the design treatment every now and then..here's to another adventurous season! If you've stuck around so far I hope you continue to do so with me :)

P.S. Holy moly, we've reached No. 90! Any ideas for how I should celebrate 100? ;)

If you've been following the blog since the beginning, this character should not surprise you  - although she's making her comeback for the first time in full colour - it's the one and only Annoying Aunty back in action!

Remember how I mentioned a while back about how I try to 'keep up' with Mr. Ninja's work conversations by noting and learning the different acronyms he uses with his colleagues?

Based on this week's comic, clearly I'm trying too hard sometimes. LOL

From The Inside

Let's face it, we all know by now how Mr. and Mrs Ninja are quite different from each other. But there are also a ton of core personality traits that are similar between the two characters - and this is kind of what you'll be seeing this week.

I'd written a long time back about how making 'Being Mrs. Ninja' is my "passive-aggressive" way of dealing with being married haha. Remember that core similarity I was talking about? Yeah, this would be it.

Excelsior!

Since we're going on the theme of Mrs. Ninja trying to connect with Mr. Ninja by attempting to understand the work he does, I thought I'd continue on the same lines this week.

Excel sheets may be something we have in common (TBH I hardly use it myself, but it's something!), but it is still so so SO very different how we work with it. This week's comic will give a better idea about that.
