BMN 100 & The New Season

Hello there!

I know I haven't been putting up my regular blog posts up here like I used to, but those who have been following me on social media will know that I have been posting my comic strips irrespective of that! And to make up for that, this entry is going to be like a Newsletter keeping everyone up to date!

BMN 100

It feels surreal knowing that I had created (literally) a hundred of these comics..and still have many more stories to tell! And I want to thank all of those who stuck with me throughout my different phases and my experiments with art techniques. I hope to keep surprising everyone as I aim for another 100 comics!

As you can tell I introduced a new format with Comic #100 and this was the start of the new season.

Season 4

Based on the pre-season hype I built for Season 3, one might be wondering 'When did Season 4 even happen?' and I get it, I'm sure it felt like it sneaked in along with the #100 post.

The truth is, I was working on making the comic more easily accessible to my readers across all social media (more funnies, more smiles). I had to make sure it can work across different media and that it's an easy format to stick to so that there are fewer missed weeks - that latter point being quite important as I don't do this full time and work can sometimes get crazy. That's me Being Mrs. Realistic LOL

I hope the new format doesn't scare you guys away and that y'all will stick around as I continue my journey to figure out new ways to get more smiles into your day. So let's catch up in case you missed the latest comics!

BMN 101

This year's birthday post was mostly about how in a marriage, gifts and gifting processes get a little skewed along the way.

BMN102

This comic is Part 1 of a trilogy of adventures during a trip to Europe. Some things never change.

Nine Nine!

The great Albus Dumbledore once said, (yeah, yeah he's fictional I know, shut up) "Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it."

This week's comic strip only proves it.

Can't Get Me Outta My Head

They say that the idle mind is a devil's workshop. In the case of Mrs. Ninja, that is an understatement.

Suffice to say, her mind is a whole universe on its own and she sometimes forgets to step out of it!

Hunger Games

The one stark difference between Mrs. and Mr. Ninja is their attitude towards food - or as Mr. Ninja likes to put it, he eats to live while Mrs. Ninja lives to eat.

But hey, the longer a couple spends time together, few habits are bound to crossover...and not necessarily the ones that you'd like.

That Moment When

5 years ago to this day, my husband and I had what was my idea of a perfect wedding. No, I'm not talking about the big one with all the people and the white dress.

I'm talking about months later, the day we went and made it official at the marriage registrar office. Quick, chilled out, no dress code & no paparazzi - just the way I liked it. I still joke about how I'd have gotten married online if I could've (does that sound too millennial?).

This week's comic is a tribute to the story I tell people when they ask me about "that moment" I decided "I'm totally marrying this guy".

Some Kind of Colourful

If you've been reading Being Mrs. Ninja for a while now you probably know that I love puns and can get a little crazy with my metaphors.

This week we talk about when this interest of mine sneaks into situations it really shouldn't be part of.

Jackass of all Trades

Sometimes you want to do a little bit of everything and you end up piling way too many things on your plate - that happens to me more often than not. 'No time' is no excuse as I personally think if you really want to do it you will make time.

But once in a while you have to step back and take a breather. I grossly underestimated the importance of relaxation. But now I'm learning more about how it works through the book I'm reading "Will Power Doesn't Work" by Ben Hardy.

I never really apologise to my readers when I miss a Thursday here and there in the middle of a season because I feel shamelessly confident that they know I'm doing my best and if I didn't post there'd be a good reason. Also, because I don't do this full time. Ha.

Anyway that's a lot more writing than I usually do - after a ton of traveling and relaxing I'm back with more stories to share :)

As always, keep reading and spread the laughter around!
Cheers.
